2nd Tuesday of each Month

Yellowstone Rim Runners' Meeting. 6:30pm downstairs at the Valley Federal Credit Union-207 N. Broadway. Come at 5:30pm and get a workout running the stairs with us.

Weekly Club Runs

Come join us at any or all of our Weekly Club Runs. Runners

of all levels are invited! Bring a friend or two. A great chance to

meet new friends and have a great time! Little Debbie Snack

Cakes are optional.

Tuesday & Thursday 6:00 AM - Meet at Dehler Park on North 27th and run Black Otter Trail (6.7 mile loop to the Heights, up to the airport and down 27th Street). PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR REFLECTIVE GEAR!! For more info on this run, call Terry Johns at 656.6023.

Wednesday 5:30 PM - Meet at Pioneer Park at the picnic tables on 3rd Street at the North end of the football stadium. For more information contact Ryan Grubb 245-2552 or rimrunning_ryan_hotmail.com.

Saturday 8:00 AM - Meet at the YMCA, just inside the doors in colder weather. We run for 60 to 90 minutes as a group, routes vary. After the run we head to coffee and or breakfast. For more information contact Nancy Hillman at 534-4876

Shamrock Run & Rim Runner Membership Form

Interested in becoming a Rim Runner? Join the club! You can sign up just one or the entire family. This is a great way to meet other runners from the community. Registration runs March to March and will be opening for 2012 shortly. Watch for announcments of the Shamrock run.

Equipment Rental Form

Please complete and submit an Equipment Request Form to borrow Rim Runner equipment for your event.There is a $25 rental fee and a $100 deposit per item to borrow the Rim Runner time clock or hand-held chronomix. Two checks made payable to the Yellowstone Rim Runners should be submitted with the completed equipment request form: one for the rental fee and a separate one for the deposit.The deposit check will be returned once the equipment is returned in good condition. The form should be submitted 60 days prior to your event. The form and checks can be submitted in person at a Rim Runner board meeting or mailed to:

Training in Billings, Montana

Looking for a place to run in Billings? Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

Swords Park: A paved gently rolling path with great views of town. Drive north up 27th Street towards the airport, turn right at the intersection at the top of the Rims then take the first turn on the right to the parking area at the west end of the path. The path extends about two miles to the east along the top of the rims. You can continue beyond the east end of the trail on the paved road that runs by Yellowstone Kellys grave to Boothill Cemetery.

Norm Schoenthal Island: A level 1.9 mile gravel trail through woodlands along the Yellowstone River. From exit 447 on I-90 turn south on South Billings Blvd. (also called Blue Creek Rd.) and drive about half a mile. Turn right onto a gravel road at the sign for the CEC (Conservation Education Center). Drive down the road to the parking area and cross the pedestrian bridge to the island. There is also a 1.2 mile loop on the island. Another option is to follow the trail that heads east (downstream) from the parking area instead of crossing the pedestrian bridge. This trail will take you under South Billings Blvd. to Riverfront Park where there are paved and unpaved trails around Lake Josephine and through woodlands. You can also drive directly to Riverfront Park by turning left off of South Billings Blvd just before the river.

Two Moon Park: Various level gravel paths through woodlands. From Main Street in the Heights turn onto Bench Blvd. and drive about six 10ths of a mile to the Two Moon entrance. Drive down the hill to the parking area.
